Lectures of Prof. Alexander Mielke and Prof. Anton Arnold at the GAMM Workshop 2014

Lectures of Prof. Alexander Mielke and Prof. Anton Arnold at the GAMM Workshop 2014

2. Oktober 2014; Katja Stefanie Engstler

Prof. Alexander Mielke und Prof. Anton Arnold

Within the GAMM workshop on "Analysis of Partial Differential Equations", September 29 - October 1,2014, Prof. Anton Arnold (TU Wien) lectured on "Entropy method for hypocoercive Fokker-Planck equations with linear drift " and Prof. Alexander Mielke (WIAS Berlin) gave a talk on "Homogenization of parabolic gradient systems via evolutionary Γ-convergence". The participation of both Arnold and Mielke was supported by the GRK 1838.

The scope of the GAMM workshop was to bring together mathematicians, who are working on the analysis of partial differential equations within Germany and its neighboring countries, and to advance the activities of the GAMM activity group. The goal of the activity group is to strenghten the cooperation of mathematicians working in the area of analysis of PDEs.
