Time and Venue The workshop will take place at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, on the Campus Vaihingen. It will begin Monday, June 25, at 2pm in room 8.122 on the 8th floor (for people arriving earlier there will be a reception starting 1pm in room 7.531 on the 7th floor) and end Friday, June 29, around noon.

Here is an overview map of the local trains in and around Stuttgart.
Frankfurt airport is a little more than an hour distance by train from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (for train timetables and reservations check the website of Deutsche Bahn).

Registration If you plan to take part in this workshop please register by writing an eMail to There will be contributed talks of approx. 25 minutes length. Please indicate if you are interested in contributing a talk until April 28, 2012. If so, please send us a tentative title and abstract. There is a plan of going for dinner on Tuesday evening. Please include in your email whether you would be interested in joining. Deadline for registration is June 2, 2012.

Accommodation For the invited speakers, rooms will be booked by the organisers. All other participants are asked to contact a hotel directly. Here are some options:
  • Römerhof (Robert-Leicht-Straße 93, 70563 Stuttgart-Vaihingen, +49 711 / 68 788 0): In 15 minutes walking distance from the institute, there is also a bus connection.
    There are rooms for around € 75,20 per night, if you state that you are a guest of the University.
  • Relexa Hotel (Magstadter Straße 2-4, 70569 Stuttgart, +49 / 711 6867 0): This hotel is located in Büsnau, 30 minutes walking distance from the institute. Alternatively, there is also a bus connection.
  • Commundo Hotel (Universitńtsstraße 34, 70569 Stuttgart, service hotline +49 800 8330 330): In 5 minutes walking distance from the institute. Note that there are no rooms for the night June 24 to June 25 in this hotel.
  • International Student Hotel (Neckarstraße 172, 70190 Stuttgart, +49 711 / 414 300): Located in the city centre, in 15 minutes walking distance from the main train station; 25 minutes with U-Bahn and S-Bahn from our institute. There are ensuite double rooms for € 56,-- per night and room, ensuite single rooms for € 49,-- per night, and single rooms with shared bath room for € 35,50 per night, all including breakfast. Rates for students are € 10,-- lower.
